A novel quasi‐hot standby fault‐tolerant control strategy for cascaded H‐bridge rectifier

Cascaded H-bridge rectifier (CHBR) is widely used in high-power fields such as STATCOM and power electric traction transformer (PETT) due to its high efficiency easy expandability. With the high-reliability operation requirements of equipment, fault-tolerance capability has gradually become a research hotspot nowadays. In order improve reliability supply, cascaded should restore soon possible after fault. However, traditional fault-tolerant strategies have great effect on grid side long recovery time. This paper proposed quasi-hot standby control strategy. Compared with strategies, strategy faster speed malfunction, transient process less impact grid. Simulation experiment results show effectiveness good performance
